Our example
Good Luck Talisman looks like this:
If
you add up the numbers in each of the horizontal rows, youll
see that each row adds up to 97, as do each of the vertical columns.
Other combinations that add up to 97 include the four-cell corner
quadrants, the four-cell center quadrant (6 + 6 + 63 + 22), the
four corner cells (8 + 4 + 24 + 61), and the two diagonal series
of cells. Pretty neat, eh?
Beyond
being "pretty neat", though, the ancient philosophers
viewed the arrangement of numbers as being symbolic of perfection
in the Universe, and as such a talisman like this was considered
to be a representation of very sacred and mystical principles.
Now
that you know how to create a talisman for yourself, you can do
the same for your friends and family. Or, if you'd rather not go
through all the adding and subtracting yourself, you could always
